The role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support young people aged up to 18 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You’ll work within small teams in single or dual occupancy homes, typically providing care on a 2:1 basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Supporting emotional, behavioural, and social development
- Assisting young people to achieve personal goals and build life skills
- Providing consistency and stability through structured care
- Completing accurate records and reports
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining effective communication with external professionals
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work (essential)
- Enthusiastic, motivated individuals with a passion for supporting young people
- A non-judgemental attitude, resilience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to new environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work sleep-in shifts on a 2 on 4 off rota pattern
