Job Summary
As an Elder Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised care to elderly individuals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents, and supporting their emotional well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who possesses strong communication skills and a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for our elderly clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist elderly clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in following their care plans and ensure adherence to prescribed routines.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional health.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in home care or working within a care home setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality elder care.
