Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Block Paver/Kerb Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on various paving projects. This role involves laying blocks and kerbs to create durable and aesthetically pleasing surfaces for roads, pathways, and other outdoor areas.
Duties
- Lay blocks and kerbs accurately according to project specifications.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project goals are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are adhered to.
- Manage materials efficiently, including measuring and cutting blocks as required.
- Drive to various job sites, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to project schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of the site by clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times while on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Block Paver/Kerb Layer or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction work is essential.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills within the trade.
