Baker – The Nook on Five, Cheltenham

We are looking for a passionate, skilled Baker to join our award-winning team at The Nook on Five – Cheltenham’s only rooftop restaurant, home to panoramic views, refined modern British dining, and the creative direction of multi-Michelin-starred chef John Burton-Race.
From freshly baked breads to delicate pastries, your creations will set the tone for our guests’ dining experience – whether enjoyed at breakfast, as part of our à la carte menu, or at one of our exclusive rooftop events.
What you’ll do:
- Bake a range of artisan breads, viennoiserie, and pastries to an exceptional standard.
- Work closely with our kitchen brigade to complement menus with creative, seasonal bakes.
- Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene, organisation, and presentation.
- Manage stock rotation, ordering, and waste control.
- Bring innovation, flair, and consistency to every bake.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a baker in a high-end kitchen, patisserie, or bakery.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, fermentation, and dough handling.
- A keen eye for detail and pride in presentation.
- Ability to work early mornings and thrive in a fast-paced, high-standards environment.
