We’re looking for an experienced Baker to join Ottolenghi’s Central Production Unit and take a leading role in creating our high-quality baked goods. This is a hands-on position where you’ll manage production,mentor junior bakers,and help maintain the efficiency and excellence of our bakery.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the preparation and baking of a wide range of bakery products
- Ensure all products meet Ottolenghi’s recipes and quality standards
- Monitor baking processes,including mixing,proofing,baking,and cooling
- Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products
- Supervise,train,and mentor junior bakers and bakery assistants
- Assign tasks,oversee daily operations,and provide feedback to the team
- Manage inventory,coordinate ingredient orders,and minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean,organised workspace
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 1 years’ professional baking experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Creativity,attention to detail,and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Organised,flexible,and physically able to work in a busy,hot kitchen
Working hours:
- You will work 5 shifts per week within our 7-day operating schedule
