St Ives Bakery is a family run business with a great team of bakers. We are further expanding our business and want St Ives Bakery to continue to be the very best so we are looking for someone to be an integral part of this journey in our hand made bread production team.
This role would be perfect for a long establish skilled baker or a trained artisan baker who is hungry for a new challenge and eager to take the next step in their career
The role will involve making and baking traditional sourdough breads along with other long fermentation doughs at our unit on St Erth Industrial Estate. We use heritage grains and stone-ground flours, giving the opportunity to use your currant skills and knowledge as well as to learn and develop new ones.
Key attributes we will be looking for include
- Experience in mixing, scaling, shaping, and baking.
- Experience in working with long fermentation breads and sourdough products.
- Knowledge and understanding of using bread making equipment
- Experience in working as part of a team to ensure all products are made to a high quality in a clean and organised manor.
- Be able to effectively communicate with others
- A pro-active personality - who is passionate, enthusiastic, people-focused, and adaptable to all personalities
- Can-do attitude
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and a hunger to develop their Artisan Bakery skills
- Have a genuine interest and desire to be part of a small team and high-volume bakery
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fun but busy bakery environment with early starts and working one day on the weekends .
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
