The Role
We’re seeking an experienced, innovative Head Baker to lead our bakery team. You’ll oversee all aspects of production – from sourdough and viennoiserie to seasonal specials – ensuring every product meets our high standards of taste, quality, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bakery operations (production planning, inventory, waste control).
- Develop and refine recipes while maintaining E Bakehouse’s signature style.
- Lead, train, and mentor a small team of bakers.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety (HACCP) and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain equipment and coordinate with suppliers.
- Foster a collaborative, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.
We’re Looking For Someone With
- Proven experience as a Head Baker, Sous Baker, or similar role in an artisanal bakery.
- Expert knowledge of fermentation, dough handling, pastry, and oven techniques.
- Leadership skills – ability to inspire, train, and manage a team.
- Organizational prowess – production scheduling, ordering, and problem-solving.
- Food Safety Level 3 certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Passion for craftsmanship and innovation in baking.
- Physical stamina (early starts, standing, lifting).
Nice to Have
- Experience with organic/sourdough-focused production.
- Background in pastry/dessert creation.
- Familiarity with bakery management software.
