Working hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm – 45 hours per week

Here’s your opportunity to join our busy waste facility between Reading and Maidenhead, where clinical waste from customers like hospitals, vets and care homes is weighed, recorded and sorted before it moves onto the next stage of processing.
What you’ll be doing as Waste Operative
Operating the weighbridges at the Knowl Hill Waste Facility and assisting with the loading and unloading of waste from Grundon vehicles and third-party customers.
Other key duties include:
- Sorting and processing waste, including completion of waste paperwork
- Operating a mechanical bin tipper for loading waste onto a trailer for onward disposal
- Operating bin wash machines
- Carrying out bin repairs
- Cleaning and maintenance of general work area
We have a team of 16 operatives and due to shift patterns, you’d be working with different people each week.
What you’ll need
The 'musts' for this Waste Operative job are competency at operating machinery and plant safely, basic computer skills (we’ll train you to use the weighbridge software), strong team work and a flexible approach.
