Your role:

As the Service Delivery Director for Infrastructure Operations, you will be a pivotal leader within the TechOps Global Operations team, reporting directly to the Senior Director, TechOps Global Operations. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Service Delivery Managers, each focused on critical infrastructure service lines such as network, hybrid cloud, identity/security, and workplace technologies. This role demands a strategic mindset, a proven ability to drive significant operational initiatives, and a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement across our global infrastructure landscape.

Your Responsibilities:

TechOps is responsible for all IT Infrastructure, Client services and Global & Site Operations across the enterprise and looking to take the opportunity to think differently, build for the future and use modern technologies. Our Vision is to enable employees to build amazing things for Elanco. The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Provide senior leadership and direction for complex infrastructure operations delivery, overseeing the planning and execution of significant operational initiatives such as patch upgrades, service deployments to sites, and infrastructure enhancements across global regions.

  • Guide the strategic planning, prioritization, and execution of the infrastructure operations portfolio, ensuring effective resource allocation, capacity management, and the proactive mitigation of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies across the team.

  • Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with senior IT and Business leaders, representing Infrastructure Operations Service Delivery in senior management forums and cross-functional leadership meetings.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies, providing clear, concise, and impactful updates on service delivery performance and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Establish and enforce robust governance frameworks for strategic external partners, governing their project performance (e.g., KPIs, SLAs) to ensure expected service delivery and

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Service Delivery Managers, managing resourcing and capacity across the team, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

  • Ensure security, privacy, and quality practices are embedded in everything we do, continuously seeking opportunities to simplify and improve operational processes.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications) :

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of IT business engagement experience with significant scope of responsibility

  • Minimum 3-4 years of IT management experience ie people leadership

  • Deep understanding and experience across diverse infrastructure domains, including network, hybrid cloud, identity/security, and workplace technologies.

  • Expert-level proficiency in ITIL, Agile, Waterfall, and other relevant service/operational management methodologies,

  • Expertise in strategic vendor management and optimizing outcomes from third-party partnerships.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic, global environment.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications ) :

  • Extensive experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in a global environment.

  • Proven ability to make strategic, risk-based decisions and prioritize initiatives effectively in a dynamic operational environment.

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., cGMP’s, 21 CFR Part 11) and familiarity with manufacturing and R&D business processes.
