The Role
We are recruiting for full time warehouse operatives to join our busy warehouse team. The role will include receiving and checking deliveries for accuracy and damage. Picking, packing and preparing orders for shipment. Storing goods safely and efficiently within the warehouse while maintaining accurate stock records and reporting discrepancies. Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and complaint with all health & safety standards.
Your own transport is essential as there are no public transport links to our site.
Essential Knowledge we require:
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and processes
- Knowledge of Warehouse H&S regulations
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic numeracy and literacy for stock counts and paperwork completion
- Awareness of manual handling techniques and the ability to lift and move heavy boxes safely
Additional knowledge we would like:
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or scanners
- Knowledge of stock control and inventory processes
- MHE (material Handling Equipment) Training or licence eg forklift, pallet truck
- Understanding of goods-in/goods-out procedures
- Knowledge of safe loading and securing of loads for transport
Essential Requirements:
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet targets
- Physical fitness and stamina for manual handling tasks
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Have own transport (no public transport access to site)
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to take on various tasks with a strong work ethic
- Commitment to health and safety practices
Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
