Warehouse Operative/FLT Driver
Hours: Split Shifts 05:00-09:00 & 16:30-20:30
Location:Chard, Somerset
Job Type: 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday. There may be a requirement to work the occasional Saturday if required for the operation.
We have a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative with a Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence working for a high profile and fast-moving family-owned Transport and Distribution Service - based in Chard, Somerset.
We are currently looking for a new team member to join our team. You will play an integral part in our operation by ensuring that the warehousing requirements are met.
The Role:
Working in a fast-based Warehouse, daily duties will include;
- Taking delivery of pallets and storing them within the Warehouse
- Checking for damaged or missing items on the pallet
- Moving pallets as appropriate
- Packing and wrapping goods
- Loading pallets for sending out for deliveries
- Keeping stock records
- Cleaning the warehouse and yard
- Manually handling goods when necessary
- Completing paperwork for delivery notes and stock control
Essential Skills:
Current Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence (Refresher can be given if needed)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of or experience in a pallet network (advantageous)
