Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves various tasks related to the handling of materials within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and possess a strong work ethic, ensuring that all duties are performed with attention to detail and safety.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling of materials.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and movements.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently for shipping.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining an organised warehouse environment.
- Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Carry out materials handling duties, including heavy lifting as necessary.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse.
Skills
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using forklifts and familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous.
- Strong skills in materials handling, including heavy lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of construction processes can be beneficial for certain tasks.
- Ability to efficiently pick, pack, and manage stock levels within the warehouse environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
