Develop and implement policies and processes to effectively identify, place and support IPs across GM. Continuously evaluate the quality and suitability of practice learning environments, providing feedback to placement providers of poor evaluations and then support in improving quality. Initiate suspension or closure of placement areas when the level of quality falls below the set standard, or service developments mean it is not presently a viable placement option. Monitor the progression of IP students into recognised NHS roles.
Establish and lead working groups within the Trust and across GM to address specific issues or challenges or to implement innovative ideas and action plans to maintain and develop the quality for practice placements. Explore and develop opportunities for shared learning that supports contemporary practice and multi-professional working. Manage own time and workload effectively to meet objectives. To act as a Trust representative at meetings at local, regional, and national level.
