We have an opportunity available for a full time Support Worker (Social Care) to join our team at our respite home, to assist with fun activities and outings while also providing care for young people including: personal care, bathing and showering, assistance with eating and drinking, administration of medication, cooking, cleaning, and other activities as and when required.
Key roles and responsibilities:
-Provide support and personal care to our young adults.
-Maintain logs and records (on computer and written) and assist in the implementation of individual care programmes.
-Work with other professionals as necessary
-Supporting our young people with emotional or behavioural needs and helping to develop social skills.
-Ensuring the home is clean and kept to a good standard during each shift.
Experience is not essential as training will be provided and you will have the opportunity to complete NVQ's/ Diplomas and progress within the company.
A good understanding of young people with varying disabilities and challenging behaviours is essential for this role. Driving License preferred but not essential.
Candidates must have good English communication skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude.
