PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Strategy and Partnerships Lead.

The Strategy and Partnerships Lead sits within the Nature Recovery Directorate, which aims to strengthen the impact of the Trust's activities for nature recovery across Yorkshire through evidence, influence and strategic planning. This role is important in shaping and aligning the strategic direction of the Trust by ensuring the integration of workstreams across the Trust – including data and evidence, policy and advocacy, communications and engagement, and operational expertise – into our activities and projects.

By taking a systems thinking approach the role will play an important part in aligning the Trust’s work with our charitable vision and leading on the development of conservation position statements and policies and related documents, establishing processes and systems to support their management and implementation. Once established, the role will use the Trust’s internal policy framework to leverage strategic influence, drawing upon our State of Yorkshire’s Nature and Bringing Yorkshire’s Nature Back work and driving impact across Yorkshire.

The role will also support the development and delivery of a range of strategic initiatives and projects (helping to develop programme architecture) and stakeholder co-ordination activities. Grounded in high-quality data and evidence including our State of Yorkshire’s Nature and Bringing Yorkshire’s Nature Back work, and the Trust’s specialist knowledge, the role will support the development of overarching Trust strategies (e.g. our agricultural work programme), ensuring a cross-workstream and partnership approach to our projects and programmes.
