Are you a people-person with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and supporting learning? Do you thrive in a busy environment where no two days are the same? If so, we’d love you to join our team as a Skills Hub Receptionist and Facilitator at the Skills Hub.
Reporting to the Skills Hub Operations Manager, you’ll be the welcoming face of the Skills Hub, ensuring visitors, learners, and centre partners feel supported and valued. You’ll deliver front-of-house services, provide digital and administrative support, and help create a vibrant, efficient learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to students, visitors, and staff, handling enquiries in person, by phone, and by email.
- Deliver reception services and ensure smooth daily operations of the Skills Hub.
- Assist with setting up and operating hub spaces for teaching, events, meetings, and other activities.
- Support users with audio-visual, classroom, and video conferencing resources.
- Induct students and visitors in using digital resources, supervising access and supporting basic study skills where appropriate.
- Promote and provide information on employment and skills services, signposting learners to appropriate support.
- Build strong working relationships with centre occupiers, partners, and off-site support teams to enhance service delivery.
- Provide administrative support including booking rooms, processing purchase orders, recording chargeable services, and maintaining records.
- Support employment and skills activities such as events, conferences, projects, and clubs.
- Carry out routine checks of building and equipment, reporting maintenance issues via relevant systems.
- Provide flexible cover for colleagues during holidays and sickness.
