The job role will consist of
Assist in Planning and Delivering High-Quality Coaching Sessions
Support lead coaches in preparing and delivering age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging PE lessons, lunchtime clubs, after-school activities, or holiday camps. Learn to adapt sessions to suit varying ability levels while ensuring the safety, well-being, and active participation of all children.
- Set Up and Manage Equipment for Sessions
Take responsibility for setting up, checking, and packing away sports equipment before and after sessions. Ensure all gear is safe, organised, and ready for use, contributing to a smooth and professional environment for both staff and pupils.
- Support Behaviour Management and Positive Engagement
Work closely with coaches and school staff to promote positive behaviour, encourage teamwork, and model good sporting conduct. Provide individual support to children who may need extra help, especially those with additional needs or confidence barriers.
- Take Part in Ongoing Training and Reflective Practice
Attend internal training sessions, shadow experienced coaches, and complete required coursework or portfolio tasks. Engage in self-reflection and feedback sessions to continually improve coaching skills, confidence, and knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and physical literacy.
- Contribute to Administrative and Operational Tasks
Assist with registers, session logs, feedback forms, and other administrative duties as required. Help monitor attendance, collect equipment inventories, and contribute ideas for improving sessions or pupil engagement as part of team meetings and debriefs.

Pay: £13,500.00-£14,000.00 per year
