Job title: Receptionist
Based at: Sandown Park Racecourse
Contract type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Average 15 hours per week (shift pattern & 1 in 3 weekends) plus overtime for racedays.
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist to join our Sandown Park Racecourse team, welcoming customers and providing a first class service to all visitors at the racecourse administration building.

The Receptionist will
- Answer all inbound calls directing to the relevant team in a friendly and efficient manner,
- Manage the racecourse office reception, receive deliveries and respond to any general queries that come into the reception.
- Manage the Sandown Park lodge bookings through bookings.com and distribute and collect key cards as required.
- Manage and arrange lodge cleaning requirements and carry out regular room checks.
- Administer all Sandown Park lodge feedback and redirect as required.
- Ensure the office kitchens are tidy by emptying the dishwasher and maintain the coffee machine cleaning.
- Manage in all incoming and outgoing post duties.
- Other admin duties as required such as ordering stationery, uniform and assisting other teams with dispatch.
- Work as part of the wider customer services family.
About you
- Previous experience of working in an Administration, Reception and Customer Service role
- Excellent telephone manner and experience in using a telephone system.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, including good knowledge of Outlook and Teams
- Super organised and able to prioritise workload.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
