Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented PACS Administrator to provide comprehensive support to Imaging and Diagnostics. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clerical skills, proficiency in data entry, and a strong command of office software. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and facilitating effective communication within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for any imaging related queries, incidents and service requests, triaging calls, resolving issues and supporting users endeavouring toward first time fix.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of computer equipment and to provide first line support for these items where appropriate. This will include a variety of computer peripherals, such as voice recognition headsets and microphones.
- Be expected to provide Imaging systems support as and when required.
- The post holder will take every opportunity to learn, develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Imaging IT Systems.
- Assist with the upload and download of patient images on to CD’s/via IEP and other PACS systems upon request .
- Assist with upload of patient images on to IEP and other platforms such as CIMAR and other health portals for completion of patient journey through imaging and Diagnostics.
- Adhere to the Data Protection Act and protects the confidentiality of patients, relatives and staff within the guidelines set out by this Act.
- Work from a list of calls/incidents, taking ownership for resolving specific calls (escalating where necessary), carrying out routine housekeeping and system maintenance.
- As a part of a team to support many users from a wide range of disciplines with varying levels of IT knowledge and skills.
- Record and document day–to-day maintenance and faults via the appropriate mechanism for the given supplier.
- Throughout all contact with users, it will be necessary for the post holder to take all reasonable steps to understand their workflows and operational requirements to enable effective support to be delivered.
- The PACS administrator will plan and manage their own work under the guidance of the Centre director of Imaging and Diagnostics and will support in the prioritisation of assigned complex tasks to meet organisational requirements, including following up on on-going tasks and chasing responses from other users.
- A flexible attitude and the ability to multitask and have a flexible approach to working patterns to meet the continuing needs of the service.
- The post holder will be asked to develop protocols and propose changes, where necessary, which impact across the Centre for the use of Imaging systems.
