Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in baking techniques and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all baked goods are of the highest quality. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a genuine love for food production and preparation.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads and other baked goods established recipes.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to throughout the baking process.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to maintain consistency in product quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious baked goods that delight customers.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or weekends as required.
Hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7am.
