Housing Management Officer Supported Accommodation - 40 hours per week, £27,628.75 - £31,085.57 (25,901.95 - £29,142.72 FTE)
40 hours per week on a shift pattern basis, covering shifts 8am - 8pm, across 7 days per week, working 4 on and 4 off.
Stepping Stone Projects is an established and growing charity providing quality homes and services to help prevent homelessness and transform lives across the North West.
Our support services are aimed at helping our customers develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to maintain a stable home and a structured lifestyle before assisting them in the process of securing or retaining permanent independent accommodation.
We are looking for 2 x Housing Management Officers to join us at our Whitworth Road Project.
This service consists of 14 flats for homeless people with a local connection to the Rochdale area.
In this role you will help customers in a trauma informed, person centred and asset-based way to provide support to customers to successfully move-on to accommodation to meet their needs. Colleagues will work with customers to ensure they: have welfare and housing benefits, obtain bank accounts, obtain proof of ID; engage with drug and alcohol services, engage with primary and mental health services, develop budgeting skills, report repairs; keep their property clean, safe and secure and develop independent living skills to be able to maintain their own accommodation.
The role also includes the preparation of properties for re-let, monitoring rental payments, completing health and safety checks of the building and liaising with landlords.

- Experience of working with people with complex needs, who may be challenging to work with, and to respond to conflict situations in a calm yet firm manner
- A confident outlook with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- The ability to deal with people on a variety of different levels with a professional approach
- Ability to manage a caseload
- Good time management and IT skills
- An understanding of housing management
