Salary: First two years Grade 3 £24,796 - £25,583 per annum. £12.85 - £13.260 per hour.
Third year Grade 5 £26,824 - £29,540. £13.90 - £15.31 per hour.
37 hours per week
Temporary for the next three years of the traineeship.

Your role:
This an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to begin their career in Housing Standards. You will work as part of a proactive and innovative team who are responsible for regulating the standard of the private sector housing stock within the Borough, and ensuring the housing stock makes a significant positive contribution to the heath and wellbeing of our residents.
The role will require you to provide excellent customer care to a wide range of customers and stakeholders from private tenants to landlords, letting agents and local businesses/developers.
You will also be provided with the opportunity to undertake and successfully complete training against an appropriate Apprenticeship Standard to achieve an Advanced Professional Certificate.
About you:
You will have an understanding that councils are responsible for enforcement against landlords who break the law and the impact that bad housing can have on people’s lives and health.
You will be self-motivated, driven, with the ability to work as part of a team and also operate on your initiative. You will have good literacy, numeracy, and digital skills, and have an interest in helping people by improving the standard of housing within the Borough.
You will take pride in providing excellent customer services partnership working with internal and external organisations.
