Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidates will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves providing home care services. Support Workers play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with specific health needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with dementia or specific health needs.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Facilitate social interaction and companionship for clients to promote mental well-being.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care, caregiving, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medication administration is beneficial.
- Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, or other health needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A valid driving licence is not needed as we can place you with clients who do not require drivers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.80 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
