About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. This is a field-based role covering Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties, supporting multiple construction sites with hands-on guidance and compliance management.
Reporting to the Safety Director, you’ll play a key role in promoting a positive health and safety culture across all sites, ensuring that our operations meet legal and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
- Provide clear, practical advice to site managers, supervisors, and operatives
- Conduct accident and incident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up actions
- Deliver toolbox talks, briefings, and health and safety training where required
- Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Conduct regular training needs analysis and maintain the training records of company personnel
- Maintain accurate records and produce detailed reports for internal stakeholders
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practice
About You:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential
- Previous experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations and other construction-related health and safety legislation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage people at all levels
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
