Salary: Starting salary from £36,040 plus £6,710 London Weighting p.a. *pay award pending*

About the team

Information Management governs the collection and processing of information within the Force, ensuring strict adherence to national legislation such as the Data Protection Act. Audits are undertaken to verify that the information being held is necessary, proportionate, relevant and in accordance with the law. Audits are necessary for due diligence and to support independent scrutiny of how the Force manages information, especially in relation to national systems.

About the role:

To be responsible for the auditing and validating of transactions entered onto Force and national databases, ensuring access was undertaken for a legitimate policing purpose, and that the quality and accuracy of data is of the highest standard. The Auditor will make necessary recommendations for action where errors are identified.

The Force Systems Auditor will play an active role in the development of internal processes and will contribute to good working relationships with Police Officers and external agencies.

The successful applicant will be able to work independently, ensuring force policies and national guidelines are strictly adhered to.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be:

  • Lead and undertake complex and specialist audit reviews
  • provide professional audit advice and guidance
  • Produce reports
  • Organise and complete the allocated audit plan
  • Collate and produce statistical information

Selection Process

This vacancy is open only to those who have the right to work in the UK.

The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
