The Field Auditor ensures that domiciliary care services consistently meet high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Operating across individual resident homes, this role supports auditing of care delivery, medication management, environmental safety, and regulatory compliance. The auditor will provide real-time feedback and guidance to care teams and report to management on key risks and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct live and scheduled audits in residents’ homes and office systems.
- Review care records, visit logs, and digital systems for compliance and accuracy.
- Audit medication administration, storage, and eMAR use; report and support corrective actions.
- Check home environments for hygiene, safety, hazards, and equipment issues.
- Gather resident feedback and observe care delivery for dignity, respect, and professionalism.
- Provide on-the-spot guidance to staff, highlight training needs, and support new carers.
- Complete clear audit reports, log findings, and track trends for senior leadership.
- Escalate safeguarding concerns and follow up on actions taken.
- Assist with inspection preparation and regulatory responses.
- Participate in the on-call rota (two weeknights and one weekend per month).
