We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a small and friendly administrative team as an Education Coordinator for Taught Programmes within the Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health. In this role, you will work closely with the Manager of MSc Taught Programmes to support postgraduate taught students in the department. Your primary focus will be on supporting the MSc courses, which include Clinical Embryology (full-time, in-person), Reproductive Genetics (full-time, in-person), and Global Women’s Health (part-time, online with a residential week).
As a key member of the administrative team, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality support to ensure the smooth running of the Master’s courses. You will work collaboratively with the Manager, Education Assistant, and the wider MSc Taught Programmes Team. To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised, have previous administrative experience, and demonstrate strong computer skills. A positive, collaborative attitude and the flexibility to respond to the evolving demands of the role are essential.
You should be educated to A level standard or equivalent and hold GCSEs in English and Maths at grade A–C or 9–4, or a similar qualification. You must be able to work well in a team, while also being proactive and capable of using your own initiative. The role requires someone who can organise and prioritise a varied workload, meet tight deadlines and maintain performance under pressure, without close supervision. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work are crucial. You should have strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and email, and be willing to learn new software systems such as databases and online course platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to demonstrate a good level of numeracy and confidence in managing financial processes.
You will need to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and engage tactfully and professionally with senior academic staff, clinicians, students, and other stakeholders. It is also vital that you handle all interactions and information with sensitivity and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Applications for flexible working arrangements are welcomed and will be considered in line with business needs.
Please note that this role does not meet the salary threshold required to obtain sponsorship for a Skilled Worker visa, however, applications are welcome from candidates who do not currently have the right to work in the UK but who would be eligible to obtain a visa via another route.
You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. Go to https://www.jobs.ox.ac.uk/cv-and-supporting-statement for information and advice on writing an effective Supporting Statement.
This role is full time and is permanent.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Monday 8th September 2025. Interviews are expected to take place on Friday 26th September 2025.
