Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations to ensure optimal patient flow.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software applications relevant to the role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- A compassionate approach towards patients and an understanding of their needs is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
