Jewson a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for an Sales Assistant who's as passionate about great service as we are.

This is a busy and varied role working with a great team. You'll cover trade counter sales duties, processing orders and arranging deliveries. You'll interact with customers and suppliers on a daily basis and ensure that the best service is always demonstrated to them.

Working Hours: 730 am–5pm Monday to Friday and every second Saturday 8am to 12noon

Location: Jewson, Faraday Street, Dryburgh Ind. Estate, City of Dundee, DD2 3QQ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions

  • Process customer orders at the trade counter and sales office, arrange deliveries and update customers on their orders

  • Help to prepare customer orders in our warehouse in a timely manner

  • Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products and carry out regular stock counts

  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers

  • Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and your team safe at work

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous industry experience preferred but not essential

  • Experience in a customer facing environment

  • Passion for working with people

  • A positive can-do attitude
