What does this role entail?
Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, your role as one of Santa’s Elves will involve creating cherished memories for our guests. You will be warmly welcoming and guiding guests through the grotto, weaving a spellbinding Christmas tale, ushering them to their encounter with Santa, and efficiently organising and distributing their special gifts.
Key duties will include:
- Greeting families as they arrive at the Grotto leading them up to where Santa is awaiting them.
- Entertaining the families whilst they wait for their turn to go in and visit Santa.
- Assisting Santa inside the Grotto room and controlling the flow of families going into visit Santa.
- Handing out a present to every child.
- Preparing the presents for booked sessions, ensuring there is a present for all children booked on.
- Ensuring presents are ready for the arrival guest to the Grotto.
About you
- You will have previous experience in a customer facing role, and will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time-keeping will be one of your strengths, to help keep Santa’s visits on schedule.
- Your outgoing and bubbly personality will ensure you engage our guests with enthusiasm.

Your contract
This is a fixed term contract ending 24th December 2025, with working hours to vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required. The earliest start time is 8am, and the latest finish time is 8pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
Location: On Site - Cheddar (Somerset)
