Located on the A66, 4 miles west of Scotch Corner, Mainsgill Farmshop is an award-winning butchers, farm shop and tearoom. Winner of Best Fresh Meat (Deliciously Yorkshire 2021), and Britain's Best Butcher Award 2019. Nominated for Butchers Shop of the Year 2023 and 2022 (Northern area)
- Full time: 5 days, to include one day of the weekend
- Part time: 3 / 4 days, to include one day of the weekend
- Set days each week, no shift change/rotation
- Day time shift - 5pm finish
Excellent opportunity to work within our growing award-winning butchery team. All our meat is home reared on our farm here in North Yorkshire, then butchered in our onsite butchery within our farmshop. All products from our butchery are showcased in our unique butchery counter within our popular busy food hall.
Our butchery team produce their own sausages, cure their own bacon, prepare fresh unique specials for our counter, produce their own burgers and bbq ranges, as well as traditional cuts of all meats, and supplying our on site kitchen with fresh produce for the kitchen team to make our own pies and ready meals for the shop floor/tearoom.
Attention to detail is key in our butchery, utilising our own farm's traditionally reared meats, preparing them to the highest standards.
Candidates require to be able to work within in a team and well with others. Must enjoy working in a busy environment, and take pride in delivery high standards of butchery and customer service. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, full of enthusiasm and a positive attitude, and reliable.
