Duties
- Assist butchers in the preparation and cutting of meat products.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Help maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the proper cleaning of tools and equipment.
- Support with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with deliveries.
- Participate in the packaging of meat products for sale.
- Follow instructions from butchers regarding specific cuts and preparation techniques.
- Engage with customers when necessary, providing information about products.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food production environment is preferred but not essential as full training is provided.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina, as the role may involve lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
Start times between 6/7am, weekly pay, meets and exceeds nmw and nlw.
