Trust Location: Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Abingdon Hospital- OX14 1AG and Didcot OX11 (Working across the two locations, 3 days in Abingdon and 2 days in Didcot)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday ( 9:00 - 17:00)
Duration: 7 Months
What you’ll be responsible for:
Job Summary:
Covering reception, answering calls, sending and replying to emails. Also Sending text messages and formatting letters
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping to manage th inboxes
- Answering the telephone, taking messages and processing enquiries.
- To use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook as required.
- To assist with reception duties for Outpatients departments when required.
- Recording accidents and near misses on the Ulysses system.
- To carry out other duties as requested by the Office Manager to support the quality of service provided by the team.
- Help to create documentation regarding new processes
- Keeping the Trust policies, procedures, and fire book up to date.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
Experience:
- Accurate attention to detail
- Excellent Keyboard skills
- Excellent telephone and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise own work load and work towards Deadlines
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to liaise with all professionals, colleagues and service users in a confident and effective manner
- Good understanding of the General Data Protection Act
- Working in an office environment
- Call handling experience
- Good communication skills with an empathetic approach
- Ability to work under pressure in a calm manner
- Enthusiasm and motivation
- Flexibility in approach to work and the changing needs of the service/team
