Accounts & Business Administrator
The successful candidate will have a solid accounting background (including hands-on experience with Sage), excellent written and verbal English, and a general understanding of how businesses are run.
This role requires someone who is vigilant, smart, and articulate, with the ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently.
Accounting background and proven experience dealing with VAT, HMRC, and related compliance is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in day-to-day business operations.
- Manage administrative tasks including correspondence, scheduling, document management, and reporting.
- Handle bookkeeping and accounting duties, ensuring accurate financial records across multiple businesses.
- Utilize Sage for financial management, reconciliations, invoicing, and reporting.
- Support cash flow management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare business documentation, letters, and reports to a professional standard.
- Ensure confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive business information.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong accounting background with proven Sage software experience.
- Hands-on experience in VAT returns, HMRC compliance, and related financial regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Business-minded with an understanding of operational and financial processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and anticipate needs.
- Professional, adaptable, and discreet in all interactions.
