Job Title: Zumba Instructor
Location: Croydon
Hours: Part-time, 1-2 hours a week
Job Description:
We are looking for a lively and engaging Part-Time Zumba Instructor to plan and lead beginner-level Zumba sessions for a mixed group of adults and some children in Croydon. These sessions aim to promote physical activity, boost wellbeing, and encourage community engagement in a fun and inclusive environment. This role is part of a broader initiative to improve health, reduce social isolation, and bring people together through movement and music.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver accessible, beginner-friendly Zumba classes suitable for a range of ages and fitness levels
· Create a positive, welcoming atmosphere where participants feel encouraged and motivated
· Adapt routines and instruction to accommodate both adults and younger participants
· Promote regular attendance and help build a sense of community among participants
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all attendees, maintaining a professional and inclusive approach
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
· Experience teaching group fitness classes to mixed-age or diverse groups
· Comfortable working with both adults and children
Skills:
· Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivating presence
· Strong communication and group leadership skills
· Ability to tailor classes to beginners and create a non-intimidating environment
· Awareness of cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness
· A completed DBS check or willingness to undergo one is required
