Dorset Youth is looking for a Youth Club Coordinator to lead and develop our youth club provision across two sites in East Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, while supporting and leading a passionate team of staff and volunteers.
The Role
As Youth Club Coordinator, you’ll:
- Manage and support a team of Leaders in Charge, Youth Workers, and Volunteers.
- Oversee the delivery of four weekly youth club sessions across Lytchett Matravers and Colehill.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality youth work that reflects the needs and interests of local young people.
- Plan rotas, coordinate programmes, and support session design.
- Develop partnerships with local schools, community groups, and other organisations to expand opportunities for young people.
- Contribute to Dorset Youth’s wider strategy, ensuring our clubs remain safe, inclusive, and impactful.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining evening session delivery with daytime planning and development work.

- Hours: 21 hours per week
- Sessions: Minimum of 3 evenings per week
- Contract: 1-year fixed term, with potential extension (subject to funding)
- Salary: £13.70 per hour
- Location: Multi-site role across East Dorset
- Reports to: CEO
- Subject to Enhanced DBS check and two references
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in youth work delivery, ideally with team leadership responsibilities.
- Qualified to Level 2 in Youth Work (Level 3 preferred or willing to work towards it).
- Confident in safeguarding and risk management.
- Skilled at managing people, organising programmes, and evaluating impact.
- Based in or able to travel around East Dorset.
- Driving licence and access to your own vehicle (with business insurance).
Desirable but not essential:
- Knowledge of the voluntary youth sector and local provision.
- First Aid and Food Hygiene qualifications (training can be provided).
