Workshop Operative role - Permanent Full-time position.
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (1 hour lunch break)
28 days Annual leave plus all bank holidays off and No weekends.
Starting pay £26k
We are a small unique family run mail order company providing our products and services to the automotive industry. Due to the nature of our work, previous experience in this field is limited, therefor training will be provided in house.
A workshop operative daily duties consists of structured day doing various tasks –Maintenance/Cleaning of workshop and machines, Stock preparation, Stock count as well as picking and processing all customer orders. We have a wide range of products, and most items will require cutting keys and building locks to specifications. Our orders are completed to a deadline each day for dispatching. Your training will be provided in house, and this will be a long process.
To be successful in this role you must have previous vehicle parts/ Workshop experience, to able to learn throughout your employment, hold and retain information well, common sense (to be able to identify and differentiate between product specifications) and be able to work with your fingers/fingertips e.g holding a locks while fitting small components to it. You will need to be able to operate a computer and work with Outlook, Excel, Word etc. Fluent English reading and writing is essential.
