We are looking for a self-motivated individual, educated to degree level, who is passionate about psychoeducation around mental health. This individual should have a good understanding of mental health, and has direct experience working in partnership with schools and creating and delivering workshops to children and young people, parents and staff. Excellent organisational skills and time management is required for success in this role, as well as knowledge of child and adult safeguarding. A full, enhanced and current satisfactory DBS disclosure for this role is required.
You will:
- Lead on creating and delivering workshops, assemblies, forums and assemblies to children and young people, staff and parents
- Work closely with other service providing local support and with members of the wider WCL Mind staff team
- Work within a multidisciplinary Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to increase and improve emotional and mental health provision within educational settings for 5-18 year olds in Westminster and RBKC.
- Work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages.
You are:
- Passionate about mental health psychoeducation
- Experienced in delivering workshops
- Familiar with working in schools and colleges
- An effective and confident communicator
- Organised and able to manage competing commitments and time pressures
- Able to work cohesively and collaboratively with staff members and other linked service providers
- Eager to engage effectively and make a difference with the service users at our MHST.
