About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join Brett Aggregates as a Weighbridge Operator at our Queen Mary Quarry in Middlesex.
You will operate the Weighbridge and be the first point of contact for hauliers and customers coming to the site. You'll provide the on site machine operators with the information needed to safely and efficiently manage the loading and unloading of vehicles.
You'll have a hands-on role and you will be integral in ensuring a strong safety culture and the future development of the site.
- Responsible for the efficient and accurate running of the Weighbridge function and all it's related aspects
- Operate the site weighbridge in line with company policies, procedures and legislation
- Report and record requirement information data in line with business requirements
- Work closely with other business departments to support the business needs
- Dealing with customers directly and on the telephone
- To follow and enforce site acceptance procedures for imported aggregates
- Clerical and administration duties
- Previous experience in Weighbridge Operation is an advantage
- Basic IT skills are essential
- Accurate numeracy and literacy
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and reliable
- Awareness of legislation and own responsibilities regarding Health & Safety
- Previous experience of working in a quarry an advantage but not essential as training will be given
