This is an exciting opportunity to join a closely knit team operating a recovered paper yard for our client at a large paper mill in Partington.
Job Description:
We have two permanent positions available: one for the day shift and one for the night shift.
- Day Shift: 07:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday (£12.75 per hour basic)
- Night Shift: 19:00 – 05:00, Monday to Friday (£13.75 per hour basic)
The role involves working in a fast-paced recovered paper yard, operating a B2 category counterbalance bale clamp truck. Key responsibilities include:
- Transporting bales around the yard
- Feeding production lines
- Offloading and loading recovered paper bales from trailers into storage stacks
We are a close-knit team where every member plays an important role and is truly appreciated.
Key Responsibilities:
· Unloading vehicles.
· Correctly grading stock.
· Stock rotation.
· Use of an in-truck terminal.
· Operating B2 Category FLT Counterbalance truck.
· Feeding production lines.
· Cleaning duties.
Essential Skills:
· Minimum two years of FLT experience within the last five years.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Close attention to detail.
· Hardworking and willing to learn new skills.
A valid B2 Category FLT license and two years of experience driving this size truck are not essential as training will be given, but highly desirable. Experience working on a recovered paper yard, or similar, is not essential but desirable.
