Here at Vertu Repair Master, as part of our continued growth we are now looking for a Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team.
As our Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing accurate vehicle repair estimates using a pricing matrix, managing invoicing and credit control, and leading a team of schedulers to ensure efficient service delivery. This role serves as the primary contact for customer queries, collaborates with regional managers, ensures compliance with industry standards, and supports continuous improvements
Key Responsibilties:
- Prepare and validate repair estimates based on a structured pricing matrix, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries related to repair costs, timelines, and service expectations.
- Oversee the scheduling team to ensure optimal workflow planning and resource allocation.
- Manage invoicing processes and credit control activities in alignment with company financial procedures.
- Collaborate with Regional managers to ensure estimates align with operational capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, insurance requirements, and internal quality controls.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across estimating, scheduling, and customer service functions
Skills & Experience required:
- Proven experience in vehicle repair estimating, preferably within a bodyshop or accident repair centre.
- Strong understanding of pricing matrices and repair cost structures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in team leadership or coordination, particularly in scheduling or workflow management.
- Proficiency in bodyshop management systems and estimating software.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Organised, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and confident communicator.
