Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for the position of delivery driver. This role involves driving and delivering goods while ensuring the highest standards of service. Will be driving a 3 and half ton van. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in delivery driving and warehouse operations, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as required. Must have a good sense of humour and work well as a team. Age 25+. Early morning starts (7am). Immediate start available.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
- Using pallet trucks
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is essential.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg).
