Therapeutic Educational Trainer
Salary: £33,404 - £40,147 – dependent on experience
Reporting to: Therapeutic Training & Support Lead.
Job Type: Maternity cover (Starting December 2025)
Contracted hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week.
Location: Standlake, Oxfordshire.
Part-time hours (3/4 days) would be considered.
This role will be known internally as a Therapeutic Trainer & Outreach Practitioner.

About the role:
We’re looking for a Therapeutic Educational Trainer to join our Outreach team and help improve outcomes for vulnerable children, families and communities. You’ll support professionals in education, social care and youth justice to build reflective practice, collaboration and strong leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Support schools and education, with occasional training in youth justice and social care settings.
- Respond to requests for work from settings; arranging and undertaking observations of children / young people and staff teams. These observations will be recorded, and feedback in a reflective manner.
- Work with local authorities and education establishments to support children in the looked-after system.
- Act as an ambassador for The Mulberry Bush and its values

About you
- Experience working with children or families.
- Understanding of how to support children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Knowledge of education settings.
- Experience delivering online training programmes.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Willingness to undertake further training.
- Flexibility to travel and work outside normal hours when needed.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Legal right to live and work in the UK.
- Hold a UK-qualified teaching status.
