Waking Nights (Fixed) with flexibility for overtime. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care essential.
Do you want to make a positive difference in vulnerable young people and their lives? Are you keen to work with a company that offers clear development and progression opportunities? Do you want to join a forward-thinking home where you can use your creativity to help progress the lives of teenagers? Do you want to enter the field of young people in care in a brand new home, under a freshly assembled team?
If you have answered yes to any of the above, then please get in touch with us at Highbury Home. This is a new home that will support vulnerable young people aged 11-17 who have emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We have a fresh ethos to children’s homes. We strive to give the young people who have fallen into a system due to no fault of their own a life that a middle-class child would have in the UK. We want to break the norm and revolutionize the care home standard for young people. From Manager to Support worker, we promote our staff to use their creativity, share their ideas and be empowered in enhancing the lives of the teens in our care. Our staff will be given the tools, the empowerment, the care and the recognition from us as an employer to ensure that staff morale is always high to promote a positive mindset at all times within the home.
Our home will be a therapeutic home, meaning that a clinical Psychologist will make regular visits to see the children and to then provide valuable input to help our staff improve their care. This is facilitated by a sensory room within the home tailored for this. Our focus to target senses whether it be sitting out in the new garden with carefully selected plants to promote positivity or whether it be in the games room with the pool table and piano, we want our young people to be proud of where they call home.
We are promoting the importance of providing care rather than repeated paperwork. This, combined with thinking environmentally forward, we have got rid of as much paper log books possible! Our system of solely electronically logging will allow you to spend less time writing and more time being present and providing the best care for the young people!
This is a role where you will be working with a company who is passionate about staff retention and career progression to ensure you have everything you need not only to become successful in the role but also to gain promotion within the company. If you share our vision, why would we look elsewhere to promote? Full training will be provided.
