New Outlook has been providing housing and care services to people with sensory impairment across the West Midlands for over 170 years.
New Outlook is looking for an experienced Care & Support Worker to join the staff team at Boldmere Drive based in Sutton Coldfield. This is a supported living service that provides 24-hour specialist care and support to vulnerable adults aged 18-65 with a sensory impairment, and other complex needs.
This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave.
Hours are worked on a rolling rota and shift times are 7am-2.30pm, 2.30pm-10pm, and includes 10pm-7am sleep-in shift, over a 7-day period.
You must have at least two years previous experience in a care/support worker role, in providing personal care, and administering medication. Duties also include assisting with activities, shopping, meal preparation, person-centred planning, maintaining records and documentation, and domestic tasks where required.
You should be flexible in shift/work patterns to meet the needs of the service, and be willing to undertake further training as required.
Please note, successful applicants must be able to work 21-hours per week, without visa restrictions, and will be required to provide enhanced DBS clearance, together with evidence of their Right to Work in the UK.
