About the Role:
As a Team Leader you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16–18 who may have autism, learning disabilities, and/or emotional and behavioural needs. You’ll also help lead and guide the staff team, ensuring the homes run smoothly and safely. There are Homes in Peterborough with a total of 8 clients that you would be responsible for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Home Manager with daily operations
- Leading shifts and allocating tasks clearly to the team
- Ensuring a safe, warm, and responsive environment for the young people
- Supporting care planning, record-keeping, and review meetings
- Promoting safeguarding best practices at all times
- Being a positive role model for both young people and colleagues
- Encouraging participation in daily routines, activities, and hobbies
- Safely administering medication and maintaining accurate records
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, caring, and energetic – someone who can inspire and lead by example. Ideally, you’ll have:
- NVQ Level 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years’ experience in an Ofsted-registered children’s residential setting
- A full UK driving licence
