A&V Transitional Homes offers a range of support for young people aged 16-25 who are either moving from looked after services, and/or at risk of homelessness. We prepare, educate, and assist these young people so they are equipped enough to overcome the difficulty’s that may arise as they move onto independent living.
This role will be responsible for leading a team of support workers in the day-to-day delivery of individual support plans and activities, so that our young people can achieve their goals. Working in a fast-paced environment and under the direction of the Service Manager, the House leader will undertake regular reviews of agreed support plans to ensure the needs of our young people are continuously being met effectively.
The post holder would also be expected to support and participate in the duty on-call rota.
Working closely with outside agencies and other professionals in a collaborative manner, House Leaders will also be expected to deputise on occasions and will be encouraged to undertake further training to enhance their performance and future career opportunities.
Applicants should have previous experience working in a support worker role with young people who are leaving care/at risk of being homeless and those who display behaviours that challenge.
Applicants should also display leadership qualities and a solution focused approach to problem solving.

Experience:
Support Worker – Children/Young People (or similar role): 1 year (Required)
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Required)
