Support the growth of the UK Operating Company through effective management of Production output, while driving health and safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Responsibilities
The Occupational Health and Safety of people within the area covered by the jobholder by ensuring that safe and healthy practices are followed and that all aspects of company, site and legal occupational Health and Safety requirements are met
Ensuring safe working practices are maintained and adhered to
Ensuring compliance with all the Environmental standards, policies, and procedures
Monitoring that all the products are produced to the required standard and on time ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction
Managing cell activity to ensure that production performance is achieved in accordance with KPI targets of productivity, yield, quality, service and cost
Monitoring and Reporting on cell performance via set KPIs and highlighting any issues which may impact on the achievement of the Company objectives
Championing 6S roll out and adherence within the production cell managed by the job holder, ensuring the workplace is clean and organized
Driving continuous improvements through increased operator involvement
Identifying cell training and development needs, agreeing, and facilitating plan with Production Manager
Managing operator holidays including accurate recording on HR system
Managing absences including conducting and recording return to work discussions. Lead and directs informal discussions, investigations and front-line disciplinary processes, if required.
Delivering daily toolbox talks and other information as and when required to operators.
Liaising and effective communicating with other departments.
Effective communicating with line manager and peers, including handovers.
Leading and motivating the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced
Providing cover to other Team Leader shifts/cells where required due to holidays, sickness etc.

Educational requirements
Essential
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in Production related discipline
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in Production related discipline
Job role notes
Working hours: 42 working hours per week, shift rotating
Week 1 : 06:00 to 15:00 - Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute paid break each day and 6am to 12noon on Friday, no break.
Week 2: 14:30 to 23:30 - Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute paid break each day and 11:30 to 17:30 on Friday, no break.
Flexibility required

Working Environment:
Factory environment, process produces dust, vapour and fume Noise zone in Powders. PPE will be provided in accordance with site/task requirements.
Week 1 : 06:00 to 15:00 - Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute paid break each day and 6am to 12noon on Friday, no break.
