Job Location: Sheffield
Hours of Work: 37 hours / week Mon-Thurs: 08:30 - 17:00. Fri 08:30 - 13:30

Main Purpose of Job:
To assume responsibility of the Sales and Production Plan to meet Customer demand
Key Tasks
- Launch orders into production and establish a sequence of each work order through each operation to support production requirements and on time in full shipments
- Maintain MRP departmental work-to lists – ensuring all work order stage dates and completion dates are maintained throughout production
- Support in the creation of the detailed Forge Plan with area supervisors
- Create a detailed machine shop plan based on inventory levels and available resources
- Collaborate with the other production and technical departments to ensure the correct flow of product to support requirements
- Track progress against schedules and departmental OTIF
- Lead weekly production planning meetings
- Generate reports on production performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Effective inventory management to reduce slow moving WIP
- Monitor and maintain MRP driven data – lead-times and production queue times
- Coordinate with the Raw Materials department to ensure material availability is aligned to the forward plan
- Collaborate with the customer delivery planners to ensure correct orderbook alignment in line with capacity and communicate any impacts to delivery requirements
- Supporting in the accurate forecasting of revenue to support the overall business financial plan

Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstratable experience in a production planning role
- Solid understanding of production processes
- Experience working within a Manufacturing or similar fast paced environment
- Experience with using MRP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Experience (Excel)
- Must be able to drive as the role is multi-site based
