Team Leader in Children's Residential Home - Full-Time - On-Site
Location: Whitstable, Kent
Hours: Full-Time | On-Site | 40 hours per week | Varied shifts (may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank and public holidays)
Salary: from £33,540 up to £36,400 annually based on number of sleep in shifts
Job Description:
As a Children's Home Team Leader, you will support the management team in all aspects of the home's operation whilst maintaining positive childcare practices, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home. You will join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are always maintained.
You will be joining a leading Children's organisation with a mission to provide looked-after young people with a safe and nurturing environment, one that promotes empowerment, independence and choice, while enhancing their core living skills, and ability to move across the care continuum into fully independent living.
You will provide a safe, warm, and supportive environment to our residents; maintain a regular recording system in connection with each young person, be involved in the implementation of care plans and assist in the publication of reports when required.
Person Specification:
- You must hold a Level 3 diploma in children and young people's residential care. This is an Ofsted requirement.
- You must have experience with working with children and young people in an Ofsted Regulated home.
- You must be dedicated to providing outstanding care
- You must be suitable to work with Children. A DBS Certificate is a requirement for the role.
